When you scrape leads with the Sales Navigator Leads Scraper, lobstr.io can automatically find and verify a professional email address for each profile. This enrichment step runs during your scrape — you don’t need to do anything extra beyond enabling it — and the results appear as a dedicated email column in your downloaded dataset.

How email discovery works

lobstr.io’s email discovery service uses the profile data it collects from LinkedIn Sales Navigator to reconstruct a business email address. The process works in three steps:
1

Collect company email patterns

lobstr.io’s web crawlers continuously scan publicly available pages across the internet to collect business email addresses. From these, lobstr.io identifies the email pattern each company uses — for example, {first}.{last}@company.com.
2

Match profile data to the pattern

When lobstr.io scrapes a Sales Navigator profile, it collects the person’s first name, last name, and their company’s domain. It then applies the company’s known email pattern to reconstruct the individual’s business email address.
3

Verify deliverability

lobstr.io sends a verification request to the reconstructed email address to confirm it can receive messages. Only addresses that pass this check are included in your dataset.

What “server-verified” means

Every email lobstr.io returns has been tested for deliverability before it reaches your dataset. This means lobstr.io confirmed the address is real and active — not just plausible. Server verification reduces bounce rates when you send outreach, so you can use these addresses with confidence. Your dataset includes an email_status column alongside the email address. There are three possible values:

Valid

The address passed all validation checks. It is real, active, and ready to use.

Risky

The address appears valid, but full deliverability cannot be confirmed. This often happens with catch-all domains or role addresses like info@. It may work, but carries a higher bounce risk.

Unknown

The mail server did not respond during verification. lobstr.io cannot confirm whether the address is active or not.
For best results, prioritize Valid emails. You can include Risky and Unknown addresses in your outreach, but they may lower your deliverability rate.

How to enable email enrichment

1

Open your squid settings

In the Sales Navigator Leads Scraper, navigate to the Settings tab of your squid.
2

Turn on Email Enrichment

Toggle the Email Enrichment option to on. Email discovery will run automatically during your next scrape.
3

Download your dataset

When the scrape completes, download your results. You’ll find the discovered email addresses in the email column and their verification status in the email_status column.

Credit usage

You are only charged a credit when lobstr.io successfully finds and validates an email. If no email is found for a profile, no credits are consumed. Expected success rates vary by company type:
  • 80%+ for large companies and startups
  • 30–50% for small and medium businesses
  • 2–5% for freelancers and independent professionals
Not every profile will yield an email address. Success depends on whether lobstr.io has data for the person’s company domain and whether a verifiable email can be reconstructed. lobstr.io does not provide personal email addresses — only business ones.

Re-enrichment behavior

lobstr.io will not enrich the same contact twice within the same squid. If a contact was already enriched in a previous run, lobstr.io skips it — protecting you from spending credits on duplicates. If you need to re-enrich the same contacts, create a new squid. If you previously ran a squid with email enrichment turned off and then enable it, lobstr.io will go back and enrich the contacts already in that squid.
