Your lobstr.io account security settings let you update your password, recover access if you’ve been locked out, and permanently delete your account if needed. This page walks through each of these actions.
lobstr.io never stores your third-party username or password for LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, or Leboncoin. When you sync an account, the browser extension captures only your login cookies to maintain your session. Your credentials for those platforms are never transmitted to or stored by lobstr.io.
Change your password
If you’re logged in and want to update your password, follow these steps:
Open Security settings
Go to Settings in the left sidebar, then click the Security tab.
Click Change Password
Select Change Password to open the password update form.
Enter your current and new password
Enter your current password, then type your new password and confirm it in the second field.
Save
Click Save. Your password is updated immediately.
Reset a forgotten password
If you can’t log in because you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it from the login page without contacting support.
Enter your email address
Type the email address you used to create your lobstr.io account and submit the form.
Check your inbox
Open the password reset email from lobstr.io. It usually arrives within a minute. If you don’t see it, check your spam or promotions folder.
Set a new password
Click the link in the email and enter your new password.
Update your email address
Email address changes cannot be done self-serve from the dashboard — this option is intentionally disabled for security reasons. To update your email, contact support through the Live Chat widget (bottom-right corner of any page). The support team will verify your identity and update your email address for you.
If you’ve lost access to the email you signed up with and can’t log in at all, the same process applies — reach out via Live Chat and the team will help you regain access.
Delete your account
Account deletion is permanent. Once you confirm, all your tasks, squids, scheduled runs, and exported data will be deleted immediately and cannot be recovered. Your login credentials will also be deactivated. If you just want to pause your activity, consider downgrading to the free plan instead.
Go to Account settings
Log in to lobstr.io, go to Settings, and click the Account tab.
Click Delete Account
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Delete Account.
Confirm deletion
A confirmation prompt will appear. Read it carefully and confirm your decision to permanently delete the account.
