A seller deletes a listing and posts it again a few days later. To Leboncoin it’s a brand new listing, with a new id and a new URL, so by default the Leboncoin Auto Message Sender sends them your message a second time. Sellers who get the same message twice tend to report it as spam, which puts your Leboncoin account at risk. One Message Per Seller stops that.

How duplicate messages are avoided by default

Each Squid keeps track of the listings it has already messaged:
  • A listing this Squid already messaged is never messaged again, even if you edit the message template in between.
  • The skipped listing is not billed and does not count toward Max Results.
This check is per listing. A listing posted again is a different listing, so it gets the message.

Turn on One Message Per Seller

1

Open your Squid

Go to your Leboncoin Auto Message Sender Squid and open its Settings.
2

Switch on One Message Per Seller

The toggle sits under your message template.
3

Save

The next run applies it.
From then on, a listing is skipped when this Squid has already messaged its seller on another listing. A skipped listing is not billed, does not count toward Max Results, and is left out of your results. The seller is matched on their Leboncoin account, not on their pseudo: a seller who changes pseudo is still recognised.

How to spot a skipped listing

Skipped listings are not in your results, so your export only lists the listings that were actually handled. To see which ones were skipped, open the run logs: each one shows already got a message from this squid on another listing. Skipping (One message per seller). In your results, the owner_id column holds the seller’s Leboncoin identifier of each listing that was messaged.

What counts as already messaged

  • Only this Squid’s messages. Two Squids don’t share their history: if you message the same area from two Squids, a seller can get one message from each.
  • Messages sent since October 2026. lobstr.io started storing the seller of each message when this option was released. Messages sent before that have no seller attached, so for them only the per-listing check applies.
Turning the option off again doesn’t erase anything: listings skipped while it was on can be messaged by a later run.
